Professional Philosophy |
Every child can learn. All knowledge is valuable; it should not be based on use. Relevance is a slippery slope. Relevance must not be used to limit what a child should learn. My educational philosophy is: education should produce educated citizens.

Professional Information |
I have worked with children for 19 years. As a daycare worker, I did not "babysit" the kids in my class; we became pre-emergent readers and played to learn. I have learned that a "busy" (engaged) child is a good child. Busy must mean focused and engaged in an educational setting. I am a graduate of Athens State University with a Bachelors of Science in Education. My major is elementary education with an emphasis on educational technology. I am a lifelong learner which means that in a little bit I will start my masters and then a doctorate. My professional goal is to be still teaching kindergarteners how to read as a very old teacher .
